Life in exile is the last resort for these people away from their families and the country of origin. They suffer as refugees and as members of the LGBTIQ Comunity double discrimination and are faced with the extremely complex issue of integration. ORQOA tried on three different levels to improve the situation of asylum seekers and LGBTIQ-enable as the ultimate goal to fully integrate:
- Networking and Public Relations: ORQOA is mainly focused on the development of a network of NGOs, Use media and volunteers from the medical / industrial / justice to existing infrastructure and resources for the development of solutions and assistance to. Through this network, we provide maximum transparency, Cooperation and synergies in the internal collaboration as well as services for asylum seekers.
- Individual care of LGBTIQ-asylum seekers: Creation and use of assistance- Buddy and service for individual assistance and Unterstzützung of LGBTIQ-migrants. Creation of educational- and integrative social facilities and events.
- Flüchtlingshilfe durch Donate: Organizing fundraisers through flea markets, Seminars, Film-, Podiums and information evenings for refugees in Austria- and abroad to provide financial support and create more acceptance and understanding.
